長文が苦手で、文章がすらすら読めるようになりたい。ということですね。
これは非常に難しい質問ですね！ポイントとしては２つあると思います。
１、「パラグラフリーディング」をしてみる。これは、文章を段落（パラグラフ）にわけて
そのパラグラフ１つひとつの意味を理解していく方法です。
２，「１」の要領で長文全体をパラグラフリーディングしたら長文全体を要約してみる。
これによって、とてつもないほどの長文読解力・速読力がUPします！
じゃあ、１つのパラグラフを例示しますから、意味をとって,
問題に答えてみてください。
History is full of very important experiences of the world's peoples.it is a fact
that knowledge of history is important. But is it enough just to know it? Surely not.
If we want history to be valuable to us in the present and future, we must learn from
it. For history tells us what we should learn, or what we should not learn, from it.
Much of history is a record of human mistakes, and it shows us what we should not
do. History can and should be a guide not to repeat tha same mistakes made in the
past- for example, bad leaders and wars.
